house majority kills impeachment -- will people take to the streets? even if PGMA will not be oust, her presidency will always be under a cloud of suspision... and who can lead a nation when no one trust you? The so-called impeachment process was just a moro-moro of PGMA's political survival.
SC says E-VAT constitutional -- with the ever raising cost of crude oil due to demand and the "Katrina" descruction, this latest news can just be the thing that will break the camel's back. Raising fuel prices means that Filipinos will spend more on basic necessities (fuel, food, electricity, etc) and less on other spending. Less disposable income would mean less spenditure on other goods which we really need to fuel our economy. Less spending means inflation. Kawawa ang Pinoy.
Higher cost would mean less food on the table... more people going hungry ... more people getting desperate, will the peace and order go next? No wonder more and more Filipinos are seeking work abroad.
