It is so hot and humid lately that I have been getting these terrible headaches that last for two or even three days! My remedy for headaches are lots and lots of ice cold water and if pwede ice cream din! My way of sneaking in dessert in between meals. bwahahaha.

It is so hot that I relish being inside the cool comfort of my office ... I even miss my office on weekdays! Actually, I miss the aircon! Grabeng init lately na hindi kaya ng aircon ko sa bahay ang init. I sometimes have the aircon and fan on at the same time. I can just imagine my electric bill... Its going to be as high as the temperature this summer!

So hot and humid, that you perspire immediately after you get out of the shower (and this is at 6 in the morning!) !!! Sometimes I wish that my house has centralized aircon. hehehe Para kahit pagkatapos mong maligo at kahit naglilinis ka ng bahay, di ka papawisan. hehehe

A few days ago we had the full moon... as with every month, when ever I see the full moon, there are "events" that are most likely to happen:

1. I will be in "foul" mood... People near me will be subjected to my mood swings raging from extreme "katarayan" to being in my "leave me alone" moods to being prone to laugher. If I could draw my mood in a cartoon, I would be someone with a dark stormy cloud over her head. People who know me well, stay clear out of my path.

2. Being too sensitive to people around me and locking myself inside my room (ah the pleasure of solitude).

3. Lower back pains... a sure sign of PMS.

4. Craving for something sweet and salty... give me cake, ice cream, chips, and peanuts... lots of it!!

How can some people make mountains out of mole hills? Exaggerate every small details and turn it into something that it is no? Such drama queens!

I really am frustrated about some people who jumped to conclusions without bothering to hear me out. I mean, I have a life of my own right? It really gets on my nerves when people assume that I can drop everything just because they called or want that I do something for them. Can't they even ask me first if I can or want to do it? If I refuse or tell them that i have other plans, they lay the "guilt card" on me and make me feel that I am a bad person. They go into this loooonnnggg discussion (ie sermon) about why I should do what they say or how it was before. Hay naku, you just can't please everyone.

in a rut

Lately it seems that no matter what I do, I feel that I am stuck in a rut.

I no longer look forward to waking up early in the morning and go to work. I no longer find work challenging (I miss what I used to do!) and I find myself “snappy” at people I work with. This is not working out…I really need to do something new. A new hobby or activity perhaps? Or can it be something else? HELP!!

I'm in one of those moods again... one where everything seems to go wrong or turn out to be not what you expected... seems that everyone is getting on my nerves including my "boss". I can't even seem to do things right today, even my on-line practice typing exercise seem to have some glitches.

Due to a request from my beloved sister (who wants to read more entries from moi), I am "forced" to write / post an entry least that she will have one of her "angelica pickles" mood. (hehehe chi, joke lang)

Anyways, I haven't been posting much lately due to the fact that I was:
1. busy with my "racket" of summarizing business / inspirational books for the past few weeks.
2. practicing my typing skills (i need to achieve at least 45 wpm) for job applications... I do hope to get my dream job late this year or next year... by then I would be ready to pass the typing test. But till then, its got to be practice, practice, practice.
3. there has been nothing to comment on lately... I feel that my brain cells had ceased functioning due to 2 years of government service. hehehe, but actually, I just want to "chill out", play mindless computer games and watch tv.

There you are chi, reasons why I haven't posted entries as regularly as I used to. Will try to do better next week... hmmm, on the other hand, mama and papa are arriving next week and I might just take that vacation leave (baka wala kailangan nila ng alalay) and crash on their "nth" honeymoon. Wadya think? hehehe

MIB (aka anti-vandermort club)

MIB... the acronym for men in black will now be used by the "anti-vandermort club" and will be referring to Malditas In Black. (thanks ainee for the contribution)

Just like the Men in Black, the malditas creed would be to guard the world (ie. the world that we know of and our family) from aliens who are out to terrorize the populance and / or who are out to decieve. It is our duty to protect and serve the family and to guard against the "sweet talk" and other devious manuver of the "alien".

MIB's creed and by-laws is still a work in progress... will welcome any suggestions.

another day in the farm (!)

It's day four of the government's four day work week... another loooong day at the office... another day coming early for work and going home late. I wonder if this will really translate to savings for the government and the employees. I also wonder if having only four days of service will be beneficial to the economy or if it would translate to opportunities lost?

What will the "cute" government think of next? When will the experiments ever stop?

1. Clean house / bed room and / or bathroom
2. Learn to cook a new dish
3. Veg out at home
4. Watch a movie or visit a friend
5. Look for part time job

I wonder which one will be more cost effective for me...

loving each other: some solicited advice

I got this from a friend, thought it's worth posting / sharing:

Don't think in terms of forever. Think of now, and forever will take care of itself.

Grow up together, constantly.

Expect to invest a great deal of time and energy in your relationship. Lasting relationships don't just happen, they are created.

Recognize that all relationships cannot be forever. Recognize their temporary quality, but continue to act as if they are permanent.

Respect the other person's relationships apart from you. If they are important to the one you care about, they should be important to you.

Never idealize others. They will never live up to your expectations.

Take your time.

Remove price tags from people. Everyone has worth; the excitement lies in the discovery of their value.

Don't be afraid of giving. You can never give too much, if you're giving willingly.

Don't feel as if you are required to spend every waking hour with those you love. Move aside from time to time and allow them a separate space too.

Never force anyone to do anything for you in the name of love. Love is not to be bargained for.

Don't be afraid.

Don't overanalyze your relationships.

Realize that you always have choices. It's up to you.

Remember that a relationship is a pooling of resources. It means that with each relationship you are not only giving, but you are becoming more.

Don't allow relationships to burden your heart; rather use it to become more aware and sensitive.

Don't smother each other. No one can grow in shade.

Don't lose in touch with the craziness in you. This, with a large dose of caring, will assure that your relationship will never be boring.

Don't brood. Get on with living and loving. You don't have forever.

Don't hold on to anger. they steal your energy and keep you from love.

There are times when you want to give up on a relationship but never give up on relating.

Learn to listen. You don't learn anything from hearing yourself talk.

Expect what is reasonable, not what is perfect.

Write down all the reasons why you love each person you relate with. Then, when the going gets tough, take the list out and reread it. It resolves problems quickly.

After an argument is over, forget it.

Don't become involved in pettiness, ego and childish hurts. Those will only serve to degrade your relationship and prevent closeness.

Learn to bend. It's better than breaking.

Since love can be created, there is no reason to be loveless.

Even though you are only half of a relationship, you must remain a whole person, apart from the relationship.

Remember that moral and spiritual values don't restrict, they protect.

Don't fall in love with love, you'll die with its complexities.

Don't allow your relationships to die of neglect.

i'm getting married

After years of roller coaster ride, my world suddenly came to an unexpected halt last nite. Right in the middle of dessert, i got the biggest surpise of my life. A beautiful diamond ring was hidden in the dessert he prepared especially for me -- my favorite chocolate dessert... yum yum... As he got down on his knees, it seems that the whole world stopped and all i could hear was my heart pounding...

He took the ring, held my hand and said... Hoy, umaga na! Gumising ka na at malelate ka na sa work!
