There is nothing like a tragedy or a super typhoon to bring out the bayahihan sprit of the Filipino. For the past few days, there has been an out pouring of support and volunteerism to help out the victims of the recent typhoons. I do pray that this sprit will stay with us longer than a week or two.
To the heros and volunteers, bravo. To our politicians, I hope that more than the photo-ops, you will buckle down to work. To congressman “kurat” of Compostella Valley, you have shown a different face of a public servant – you are a rare breed. I know this is expecting much, but I hope that there will be more pubic servants like you.
